My brother begged me today, "Please let me bring over Scary Movie 2! Its the funniest movie ever!"

Many thoughts crossed my mind, none of which were anything along the lines of, "Hell yes, that movie looks awesome!" Buuuut.... I had heard it was pretty funny and I like my little bro so I said sure.

The last thing I expected was to be inspired by the film. There is actually quite a beautiful scene in it where a ghost emerges from a walkway. As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to paint it so here it is. Prolly 2-3 hours in PS. I lost this piece earlier and had to totally repaint it. Grrr. Anyway, didn't come out as good as I had hoped, but I like it. Very fun to do.

Anyway, I'll stop blabbering.

hey jez nice pic!
ive only got one crit.. her right arm/hand seems like.. its stuck there ? i dunno i think its koz most of her face isnt affected by the light (ie the hair and head is blended in as one colour) but the arm is lighted at the side..
thats all.. i might be wrong.. probably

[edit] aktualli now that i look at it again i think it might be the dress.. argh i dunno someone else see it ?

did you like the movie? You should paint that freaky guy's little hand too hehe.

It looks lovely, maybe if there were some loose cloth straps that could be portrayed like some ghostlike tentacles it would become more haunting. Nice work jez, I always love your art.

Great job Beth! A little facial detail (as others have suggested) might add that much more mystery to the image, as well as just a little more form in (under?) her dress? Great work!

Yeah... I think I might go and rework that face a bit later, although I don't really want you to see her too much. I might work on the dress a little more too. We'll see!
