Well what can I say the Robot is smoking and is drinking also...
It is B&W becuase firstly I really like B&W works myself and I wanted it to look smooth with nice gradiants and I was also testing how to do B&W images with out them getting overly confusing... this work took a while to make I am pretty happy on how it came out. Some guys on the "Tactical ops fourms" want this baby in color so I will spend some time doing it in color also this should take a while. Really worked hard on it.
I did not want to go into full realism but more of stylish look to this peice.
I am a bit new to this fourm but I really love the stuff going in here and I am learning plenty just looking at progression works etc.. really awesome fourms
if you want to see the big version go here...
Big version of this one...

Lookin' shweet Rog
Only crit I have is that the surface of the robot could look a little more like crome metal. Um not sure how to explain the look of this but some good examples I've seen of it are in the "Art of Star Wars Ep1" book.
Like the new signature too by the way ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Thanks Mate Chrome would not work well.. well aually it might but it would have taken so long to do and make it seem right. I thought about but decided it would confuse the view toooo much from the subject.
I already saw some very minor things I am going to fix up but this is done basically the minor things are things you might not see at all but will keep me happy. |

very cool image. i like how the robot looks so mechanical, yet its pose is so human.
i'd like to see a colored version as well; it feels a little cold now. maybe just some very subtle color would do the trick. nice work! |

the picture is pretty good, the only thing i think you should work more on is glass in his hand. If you would add some highlight on it (as u did on top of his head), it would looked alot better.
I hope it makes sense. |
