well..i'm still a beginner.. this was mainly done for practise. (photoshop with wacomboard)

very very good work.....for a second i thought it was a 3D rendering.
the top of the shell has a good veriety of texture/colour mixture. but the bottom of the shell lacks that amount of detail...to improve this piece you should fix up that
shading in the mouth of the shell.
