Hi! I'm only slowly getting out of an inspiration-less period that's been lasting quite some time now. So I'm pretty happy I could come up with at least something the last days, even if it isn't much.

The one with the pen was mainly a image to get back into painting again.

This knightly one took some time to get where it is now. Off and on about 5 hours I guess, but I could be off...

I'd love to hear some comments, critique, suggestions. Now that the images are labelled "finished", I can spot some of the more obvious mistakes. But your opinion and sharp eye would be highly appreciated!
Thanks!

I like the idea of the swan in the first pic. Very nice... In the first pic the only mistake i found was the perspective of the eraser. Otherwise, nice job in my opinion.

In the second pic, the knight's sword should point a bit more back, considering the position his hand is in. Also his left shoulder plate and legs are a bit off.. I love the concept though, very nice. Keep it up!

I like the knight one a lot. The only problem is the handle on the sword. It's neither wide or long enough. It looks like he stole a midget's sword and is just examining it. If you can somehow lengthen and widen the handle It would be cool, most sword handles you can hold with two hands.

Hey, thanks for the replies, and sorry for taking a century to react to them... =)

Asurfael: That thingie in the first pic that gets cut off by the image border is my stylus mount
I see the problem with the hand and the sword. Initially, I intended him to hold the weapon loosely, i. e. not clamping it as if he was about to strike. But I guess I failed at making it look convincing, so I changed the hand a bit to (more or less) fit the position of the sword.
Shoulder plate was a tad too high. I can't believe I didn't see that in the first place .. I lowered it a bit, but it still doesn't quite correlate with the right one. Grr.
Now for his leg, I'm not quite sure. What do you think is wrong with it? Foreshortening mistake?

*g* Stole it from a midget!
Yeah, I guess you're right, swords should look more impressive than what I had there. I made the blade a bit longer, touched up the guard (very quickly) and added a pommel to the hilt.
(I also like two-handers, but I didn't wanna exaggerate )

And here it goes...
