A little illustration surrounding the priest sex abuse scandal. Created in Painter LE and Photoshop 6. Not sure why this image came to my mind..I'm not catholic..but something pushed me in the direction to create it.

nice, i'm not too thrilled with the texture in the background and the ear seems off place. It looks a little vengeful and sinister if you ask me. It's almost like the kid is going to crush the priest as if it were an ant (not that ants deserve it either).

anyways its an interesting way to portray the child... if you wewre catholic, then maybe you would portray the child with maybe a forgiving face. ( i know its hard to believe after what has happened, but forgiveness is necessary)

Crush all who dress up in stupid medieval costumes and think they are holier than others, oh and take their money away too, poor people have paid through their nose for empty promises of having to spend less time paying for their sins on judgement day, and the catholic church spends it on getting silk robes, bulletproof cars, and installing security systems in the vatican where they are hoarding countless priceless treasures for whatever reason. The Italian Government should just march in there, count it all, put it in museums, and make all the secrets public ...

I agree about the previous comment about the papertexture. If you are making an imitated medium Painter pencilsketch, or a watercolor or pastel painting, then it "might" be appropriate, for your particular style, I think it is just as much of an unneccesary "effect" as lens-flares are in so many Photoshop pieces ...

But it's your piece, so you should do as you please.
