Take a look, This was done 50 percent in 2B and 6B pencils (and a thing called "esfumin", dunno its name in english), and 50 percent in photoshop with a Wacom tablet; It took me around ten hours or so scattered in about a week. critiques would be appreciated.

I like this alot.
But two things you should work on:
- The neck. It's enormous..far too big for his head and shoulders.
- The sword is looking a tad on the flat side.
Other than that, I love it. |

Great stuff, I agree with the neck comment though.
I love the skin rendering and the little accessories and armour things look great.
My only crit is that the feet sorta 'mould' into the darkness. I understand the sort of effect you're going for, ie: making the feet fade into darkness, but I think it happens to suddenly. Either fade the black into the other colours a bit more or use a low opacity brush to subtley highlight parts on the boots so that we can make out the general shape of his shoes.
While the boots may be in the dark, it is not totally pitch black down there and thus you should be able to see a bit of the shoe.
Sorry if this is an unwanted crit, just thought it might help. But other than that the pic is awesome!

Thank you for the comments; I agree completely with Josh an Bee that the neck is a bit big; and the too suddenly darkness thing Jason pointed out; I'll see how I can fix that.
Little Bee: Thanks! |
