im gonna get rid of the rust falloff map that will get rid of the orange glow seeing as there are no orange lights in the scene, that should fix the problem |

Since the body of the ship is portrayed slightly from the top, shouldn't the head of it be portrayed from the same direction as well? Now it looks like the head of the ship is portrayed almost from the profile, and the rest more from the upside of the ship. Hope you get what I mean Or is there some joint between the head of the ship and the rest of the ship? |

what do you mean exactly? seeing as how this is a cgi image it would be really difficult for me to have gotten the perspective wrong on it, the ship is supposed to look like that i built it from these schematics however i didnt build it 100% accurately as i left a little room for artistic license

I don't know why people are jumping on you like that. Personally, I feel that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
But anway... I think the picture looks fine. The perspective of it is all in how you look at it. Seeing as how the ship is below the eye level of the camera (and being below eye level, it is probably also below the horizon level as perceived by the eye), the ship and horizon would line up just fine.
The only problem I have with it is that the thrusters(?) on the back show some of the angles from the mesh. But that's it.
Great composition! |

PS: Whatever you do, don't let the work of other artists intimidate you. Just post along with them, and hope that they'll help you grow in skill.
PPS: On closer inspection, I see that it was just the texture making the thrusters look kind of angular, and not the mesh. |

It looks nice, you should check the lighting though...it seems the direct light would be a yellowish, almost white one, while the reflected from the surroundings appear to be a bluer tone.
The perspective seems off...not on the model, nor on the background but the two combined. I doubt that the horizon of both coincide on the same line. |
