I'm thinking of buying an anatomy book. Which one should I buy?

out of print but good: figure drawing for all it's worth by andrew loomis. I believe a PDF of it is available online, since I compiled a PDF of it based on scans someone else did. I lost my copy but it was hosted online like a year or so back. I was given anatomy for the artist and it's so-so. some of the body reference is good but it doesn't have much written accompaniment and some of the art seems off...
dunno about others.

http://www.yoyodyne.net/Projects/loomis/index.html there is the url for the loomis project. but don't look at the way he draws breasts... some of those examples for breasts are horrible

there are other good online tutorials as well... if you do a search in google and print those pages out you probably won't need a book unless you wanna buy it for the sake that it's a "real" book.

for female figure drawing (well the breasts anyway), I'd recommend looking at this http://www.howtodrawmanga.com/tutorial/fbodymain.html . It is directed to manga/comic style artists, but that tutorial is very general, and it only tells the basics of drawing female figure. don't believe the writer's blabbering about 'only for beginning artists'. it's still good. if you're not interested in it otherwise, at least check the chest and torso part to complement the loomis project book.

Eliot Goldfinger - Human Anatomy for Artists
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0195052064/qid=1021925968/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_1/103-6001103-6744616

This is a very comprehensive anatomy book, it could save you from needing more than one book to clarify muscle interconnections.

However if you want a book about the process of figure drawing then I'm not as sure what to recommend.
