This is a link to a two character painting that was supposed to take an hour in Painter and ended up taking eight hours. I was trying to build up texture in Painter instead of using textures in Photoshop. The annoying thing is I think I like the quicky photoshop textures better in my older works. But Painter does better modeling. C&c please. http://www.epilogue.net/cgi/database/art/view.pl?id=12902 |

I like, very moody and atmospheric.
I like the colour scheme and the sense of scale between the woman and the chaos marine.
The only crit I can make is that the cathedral looks unfinished, I know it isn't the focal point but I think it would make the overall piece more complete. |

Thanks Axl, good point. My boredom with backgrounds is giving me away! |

Not bad. There are some questions about the perspective (characters seem at a very different set of axis to the background), and overall it's perhaps a little blurry, but it's got some nice qualities. Reminds me a bit of Justin Sweets work;
