Hi, i'm new to these boards. Occasionally i come here and brouse when i'm looking for a little insperation, but havn't felt the need to post yet. I'm a 3d artist who has mainly been doing low poly models for about 2 years now.
Yesterday i decided i would practice my high poly skills so i set out to find something to model. I came to Dhabih Eng's site and saw his elf painting and just went for it. This was only modeled for personal growth, I don't plan on doing anything more with it. It was done in about 7 hours. Just thought i would post this here because i got the reference pic from the site.
Tell me what you think.

i like it, the forehead could be more rounded, since it's very low, and perhaps the area above the lips could be slightly reduced. nice work! |

the nose lacks a lot of structure. from the front it looks like a an upside-down mushroom. Also, the eyes could use some work, mostly around the lids. the lips and chin\jaw are great! |

I think the ears are nice too. Right now it looks a bit like an orc, but i tend to give my orcs exceptionaly long ears. I think it is great, I'm not modler though and don't know a thing about them, so I can't relaly give much advice. The nose form head on might look a bit weird, but I think someone else said something about it. Good luck, keep up the good work. |
