Man, I love it..
It's sweet that you could make a 3d artwork to have this old painterly feel. The architectural details in the rails are a nice touch too.
Can you tell us more about the process you used to creat the image? |

it looks to me as if you've run filters over a render... somehting like a colorization, a blurred overlayed blown out layer, the grain:clumped filter, and possibly a cutout. also, i can see some mirroring in the image, unless that's water in the lower left, in which case it needs a different hue/lightness.
otherwise the modeling looks good. my eye wants something in the fashion of a spot to focus on. it may be a little too out of focus for my taste.

I agree, there needs to be a focal point, a sense of depth of field. At the moment the entire composition is in the same blurred focus, and so it leaves no where for the eye to settle - a bit uncomfortable.
Maybe consider direction of line and see where the eye leads to, then crisp that section up a bit?
I'm not sure if my advice is any good, so tell me i don't know what i'm talking about if need be! ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
