Hi everybody
Im going to have an Single and LP Release in (I hope) 7 Month with my brother.
I had the idea to put some own drawings into the booklet. There is one song we wrote on the Album which we called "Little sister". Its about a russian girl that died
and nobody knows why. The Lyrics are about the Brother who sings how she were found and that he whishes he would be the one that died. Shes laying in a lake or a River.
I drew that picture I had in mind and need some help now how to do some reflections on the water, shadows and so on. Shall i put her out of Focus, because shes laying under water? Any comments on the picture on what I could change? I wanted the picture to be under the Lyrics in the booklet.

(I already had it in the "work in progress" section, but I think its almost finished now. Any comments on how I could add some reflections on the water? Make her face look not "surprised" but "dead"? Is the snowfeeling correct in the first one?
Thanks

It looks like the top down view to me. I'm not sure about the chick though first she dosen't look dead, lead alone portraying death IMO. I think giving the water some murky colors would also add some character. I'm not sure if I read sister on the title I would want to see a half naked chick. Besides those things I don't see any real problems with it. Not sure about anatomy but its chartoony enough to pull off.

evil: hmm I tried it many times, but couldnt get a sideview into my head. To me It looks like its from above (but thats maybe because I drew it

Wicked: Yes youre right. She doesnt look dead to me too. But I dont know what to change, to make her look more dead. A friend of mine said, I should change her skin tone (a little brighter) and she shouldnt look into the camera. hmmm maybe that helps a little.
Yes, nobody would like to see a half-naked chick if trhe word "sister" is written, but its the song (read the text above). We wrote two songs with one story. each song is in another perspective. The Song "Russian girl" is the Story about her boyfriend who sings, that he is going to lay himself down beside her so he can die too because he dont want to make her wait twice (she waited for him at this place and he came too late and now shes dead)
The second song: "Little Sister" is the same story but through the perspective of her brother. And its obvious, that she was raped. And the brother whishes to be the one that died and not his sister.
I wanted to give the picture a cartoonish style and I wanted to make it look peacefully. Nice colors, to make it look like:"hmmm shes dead, but the beautiful world is still turning!"

Hope I could explain everything with my english
Thanks to all
