hi,
i'm new and this is my second attempt to draw something with my computer. it's a neo-necromancer . comments & critics please.

I think this piece would be more powerful if you took out the scribbly half tones (is that what they are called i am not sure) and made this purely black and white.

actually I like the tones created by the crosshatching, it kinda gives it a newspaper illustration feel, or if you've seen Frank Cho's work, similar to that. I just don't see how the picture gives away the clue that he's a necromancer. Maybe if you had some bones or something like a ghost in the background. I didn't like the pic at first, but with the texture it really breathes life into the piece. |

hey, thanx for replying.
moleculeman, i'm not sure what you mean with "half tones". maybe you can specify it.
faeklone, i don't know frank cho's work. has he got a homepage or something like that ?
my neo-necromancer doesn't look much like a neo-necromancer to you ? ok, you're right. he's not really a neo-necromancer . i just wanted to do a cold- and dark-looking, futuristic guy. and as i was needing a name for the image i thought "neo-necromancer" would sound quite cool .
