yah, so i decided to do a look alike of jude law. i took the photo referance and painted it so that it didn't look like him much at all, but kinda sorta did... like as if someone tried to paint from referance but miserably failed. cut the bs, i tried... and i failed. i lost interest in this, especially after i accedently saved the psd in 500x500 so i just gave up.

so i guess i'm just looking for technique comments or coloring or stuff like that. forget that it doesn't look like jude law for a second. i think i was a little too tight in the rendering... although i do think it looks good. definately a learning process.

I think you might have gone into details before getting the shapes down correctly. When you worry too much about "likeness" it's probably going to get messed up.
