hey everyone...been lurking for a while and finally decided to share my stuff. This list is really inspirational to me. I'm easing into digital painting from a more 3D background...I need a lot of work on my figure drawing at this point.
open to critique and links to tutorials for getting it together in Painter. I'd really appreciate some suggestions on typical canvas sizes and dpi... anyone using Zbrush?

most impressive mr.Sanders. i love the head gear pieces on your web page.
did you ever try to paint them? and it would be cool if you had a lil' caption about the programs/media you used for each pic.
thanx for stepping out from the shadows and sharing your awesome work. |

Thanks for the comments and suggestions Molako_Plus, and for taking the time to peek at my gallery.
Your idea to paint something like the helmets is a good one. I recently modeled a human head in 3D, and now in my sketching I feel that I know much more about the form of it from memory than before. So taking the time to explore subject matter that I've studied already might be a good move to gain confidence with new media like digital paint.
Good luck! |
