These are some life drawings I've done recetly. The black and whites are charcoal and chalk, the colours are pastel. I did do some didital touchups on these (contrast, saturation...)The original size is 8x10 inches. I'd like to hear any critiques you have, thanks.

The poses were between 30 mins and 1 hr each.

These are really well done. Better than I did in life drawing classes. Having models with nice bodies helps. |

nice bodies aren't always the most interesting thing to draw. and a little 'tip' or 'theory' or whatever i learned that helped me a lot, was that, in essance, there are no concave lines on the human figure. only straight and convex. convex being outward curves, concave being inwards curves (hope i'm not getting them mixed). this helped my life drawing a lot and gave it a much more lush and solid feel. i get a drawing back tuesday that i'll be putting up here and maybe you can see what i mean. |
