You are right...
I'm sure I'm not a pro now (my pictures are flat, no dinamic pose etc).
I'm just trying to collect some suggestions to understand how far I am from an "entry level" for a pro (= someone who can be paid for his pictures!).
Any suggestion (techniques to learn, weaknesses that my pictures show) is really welcome...
Thanx!
G.

Also sorta depends on your definition of "pro". You have some nice pencilwork there. You could easily land some illustration jobs for some of these fantasy companies, doing character portraits or inserts for books.

Your drawings are a great base, but (judging from what i have seen here) you should work on your colors more. And backgrounds can add tons to a piece.

Good stuff, keep going, and never ever stop pushing yourself.

i think you have a strong talent for character design, and it looks like environment as well. i think you should start looking at movement and creating a more interesting atmosphere for your images. these portraits really could use some livening up with action and movement. i really like them though.

I'd say.. to get more PRO.. Work on your line quality, and the faces and eyes. The perportions are sweet.. and the clothes are good. but keep working at it.

So: more variety, more movement, more atmosphere (character+background).
And keep working on faces/eyes, clothes, and "lines".

Really really thank You all.

Actually, your stuff is better than some of the so called "pros" I've seen. Being a pro only means you make money with your art skills(some would say you have to make a LIVING with it). But, there are some really terrible hacks making money doing art, so pro or not is really meaningless.

As for improving, I think you've gotten far enough to know what you are missing. Look at artists you admire and think about WHAT is it that you like about their work, and how can you incorporate those qualities into your own. Take the best qualities from different artists and combine them into a goal to strive for.

All your characters seem to have a slight lean to the right, making them a little off balance.

IMO, the third pic looks the closest to being professional. It's got the best line quality.

Quite strange the third is the best one, 'cause is the older. I think it depends on the fact it is b&W. So I have to improve my colouring skills also 'cause colouring tend to fade the quality of the line under it.
About the balance also you are right. It could depend on the scanning, but most probably on my workspace (a totally horizontal desktop) or whatever...
What I really would like to reach is something less "flat"; in terms of render and in terms of feeling...I'd like to add some peculiarity If you kino what I mean.
Yhank You, all your comments help me to grow...
