[edit] Sorry, I guess this belongs in the "work in progress" Forum... .
Or doesn't it matter?
I'm getting faster... .20 mins of work.
Well c&c would be nice before I start to outline or redo it...
I'll try to give it more motion in the final version...

Thanks for the feedback!
I already changed the whole thing around, because he was standing to stiff... .
So I changed the way he poses and some details.
The only thing that's really wrong is the length of his legs...

Hey, looks pretty cool. I'd add soem stuff on the board. Some engine looking stuff, some containers, like piping and some small tanks. Make it look more functional, thats just me. also it looks like you work on faces more than bodies, just an observation. Doesn't look bad at all, just keep at it. My biggest piece of advice is to work on anatomy better, but that is a lot easier to say than it is to do. Good luck with it. |

Well that depends, see. His leg lengths are not anatomically correct, it just happens characters look more 'cool' when the length of their legs are longer than normal. |

At this point in the game, don't worry so much about time it takes to complete a drawing. Take extra time in fact to focus on refining the artstyle first, and learning the basics of character design and anatomy. You've got a good start, and you seem to be motivated.
You can worry about being speedy later. |

Hi! Hope you don'ty mind me throwing my 2 cents in..
Besides from the anatomical issues, when designing characters, clothing, armor etc. you should try to think more of practical issues.
How would for example this armor attach too the body if a costume of your design would have been buildt? Also what materials would it be buildt in?
For what reason are the different components there, etc. Asking yourself questions like this should help in order to make a design.
I did a sketch of your character for fun:
edit: I almost forgot..Trying to draw the character and the different components of his armor in different angles will help too
in order to better understand the shapes
Good luck

Whee...
Nice work man!
This is my final for this pose and I can't see it anymore...
If anybody is interested in coloring it... go ahead, because I really stink when it comes to that... .
Well I already changed his pose as you can see above.
I'm planning on doing him in this pose
Sounds like a plan, doesn't it?
Have no idea though how the heck I'll do that...
