I started out doing colour work recently, and I both hope and expect to see improvements. If any of you see any jarring mistakes, especially colour or composition wise, please feel free to enlighten me. I'm all eyes...

Beholders are also a monster from the roelplaying realms.

Nice composition... only thing I would suggest really is to darken the background, make the Beholder's Eyes pop out and glow

I cannot believe an elf would be that stupid to kill a baby beholder. Those damn things are worse then dragons in the D&D gaming universe.

Cool pic, and the look on the guy's face is perfect for what's about to happen to him (death would be a release...)

not in 3rd edition, they finally made dragons the almighty powerful.

neway thats pretty sweet, i'd say harden up the edges a tad to get rid of that blurryness

Yea the only thing that is better than a dragon in 3rd edition is a Dracolich or the tarrsque only becuse you cant kill it. (You can but it is a royal pain)

I prefer Beholders. They might not be as huge, awesome and mighty as the Dragons, but they are twice as scary and terrible... they just seem particularly deadly, you'll never hear them sneak up on you... My favourite monster

Maybe I'll have to do a Dragon / Dragolich later, but they've been done so many times by other wonderful artists that they've lost much of their visual power, I think... I think some undeads might more likely be up next - there's a zombie thread going on...

Thanks for the comments!
