I went back to Nevada over the weekend for my sister's birthday, and took a few pictures along the way. The full index is here:
http://www.bprince.com/photos/NevadaApril2002.html
These are some of my favorites:
She don't run real good no more.
A micro-burst over Sparks, Nevada.
An outcrop.
First signs of spring in the desert.
The view from my parents' deck.
All taken with a Nikon CP995. |

DAMN. The panoramic one with the city is so cool!
I'm kicking myself for not taking photos when I visited London. So many beautiful old buildings there...of course, some of Sijun's members probably live there, so they could take pics anytime they wanted. :/ |

Yeh some great pics there.
But white balance is way off on some of them! |

Word, Shizo. Nice motives, but those pics need a bit of photoshopping. |

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I'm hardly a pro photographer, so I'm sometimes hesitant to put my pictures up.
Bang: now you can see where some of my minimal-yet-detailed design sense comes from
Hamster: What's this "film" you speak of? The CP995 is digital, with a native res of 2048x1536 pixels. Its not SLR, but it does allow for precise control of focus, aperture, and exposure.
Shizo: I corrected some of them, but didn't bother with most. I accuidentally left the in-camera white balance set to "incandescent", so the uncorrected ones are more blue than they ought to be. |

A couple more of my faves, for those who don't want to visit my oh-so-thumbnailed complete index:
My friend in Hawaii says the sky in this one looks like the underside of a crashing wave.
Downtown Reno, from 30 miles away. My dad works in the long, skinny building in front of the darker mountains. Its a gambling machine manufacturer.
This old mining baron's mansion is a couple streets up from my parents' house. I thought it looked a lot like the Addams Family residence.
The Virginia City courthouse. Supposedly its the only county court in the US that has a non-blindfolded statue of Justice. |

Awesome pics. I love the blue tint you've got in the pics. Wrong white balance or not, they look great. |

Great pics. Look at all those mountains. I wish Florida had mountains.
A non-blindfolded statue of Justice? I wonder if that was intentional when it was made. |
