I was feeling uninspired this last week so I asked Taeha (who sometimes posts over at Shane Glines Message Board and who works right across the room from me) if I could ink and color one of her sketches.

Very nice pose and colour, esp. love the tattoo.

I was wondering how you make the colour so clean and crisp. When I want to achieve anime-cel-like effect, I always have to use Painter's shape tool. it's extremely time consuming to tweak the bezier curve's handles to get them to be exactly the shape I want. For complex hair it's even more so.

Dunno whether there are faster and more efficient methods, can anyone enlighten me?

hunago: you just draw at really high rez. I used a 12 x 12 tablet andi just moved my whole arm, instead of just my wrist, to get the big long strokes.
