Nice anime style. The sword design is good also, I like how you combined old katana design with technological shapes. The bump in the handle is a nice touch. Working on toned paper creates an interesting look but it makes everything look dark and muddy if you don't bring up some highlights. I think that you should go back in with white and draw in your highlights. Also if you are going for the anime look, I suggest putting an outline around your characters features. It will make the whole image look cleaner and more readable.

hunter_rose0 - Thanks for the comments. It's CG and not traditional though. It's actually done on a brown colored canvas.





I didn't put any highlights for a reason. I guess I wanted that burnt-in-paper look? As for the Anime look, actually turnip and I are going for a mixture of Anime and realism. We've been down the road of pure Anime, and we're looking to do some experimentation.

Hoodz - Yeaup that's painter! Sorry to hear about your computer.

Hyptosis - Yeah I noticed they are quite dark if you have glare on your monitor. I have my monitor settings set pretty low with contrast high, with a radiation filter over top and to me...it looks fine. hmm...but I'm assuming on other monitors it might look annoyingly dark. heh...

those are reeeeely dark on this computer, must be the gamma, they still look good though
