good thread so far. i did this last night. about and hour and a half or so.
used a reference photo for the face and made up the rest. this actually started out looking like flash gordon, not anymore though.

My knight...really old pic, though...I hate it now.
EDIT - I'm switching Gorblimey to a new server right now...access is intermittent...so I had to link to the pic on Epilogue. Thus, it might be slow. Blarr.

Ok I definately did not Paint these.. but in a knight thread I had to show two of my favorite Knight paintings...
 
I have prints of these hanging up in my cubicle and I love them. Leighton put so much into these picks it was unbelievable. |

OoooOOh.. I never saw it finished, I just remember the nice digital sketch.. the final painting is great !
I find there was more strength in the skecth (as usual when you see them side by side..) but I'd better see the real thing... When do I come ? :p

spooge, how do you do that small scribbly looking texture that appears in your works?
do you just paint it there?

Yeah, what they said...wow! What a tremendous sense of atmosphere that has pierre.
I like the large scale scene of the clashing front lines and the way the light separates them compositionally. I also notice a warm/cool thing going on there with the light and shadows. That really shows me how such things are implemented, and how to implement them well. |
