looks really cool, I don't know what a real one looks like, but this looks just as damn cool, if you ask me. |

This is great. I don't know what a real horse's muscle structure looks like either, so it looks perfectly fine to me. I'd ride into war on it... ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

I think it's a bit of a long horse, a bit stretched. And did you check reference pictures for the back legs?
The front looks like an elegant horse, the back looks more like that of a nag. |

its cool tho |

Nice one, geelimp! I love the pose and dramatic lighting.
I find that drawing horses (and animals in general) can be a bastich, because there are all kinds of subtleties involved that you can never pick up without spending a lifetime studying them. I remember watching an artist sketching portraits of show-jumping horses for the owners (who are always going to be hyper-critical of the resulting image!), and noting that she knew the direction the hairs on the horse's hide went at every point all around the animal, and that was part of the reason her results were so good.....
As for the muscles, how DO they look?
Well, I was intrigued enough to dig out some books, and this is the result (I hope you don't mind me posting a repaint of your image?)
