I'm looking for some feedback on my portrait work. I'm afraid that I don't shade well enough. Actually any kind of constructive feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks!

hmm i would add some more contrast in them.. main reason i say that is because the look flat... Another reason why they MIGHT possibly look flat is because you probably drew these from a picture ??? Pictures already makes a 3d image into a flat 2d picture.. you cant see t hings the same as you do in real life.. anyways .. add some contrast or try to draw portraits from life if they werent already done that way. You would be suprise how much more they pop out from life.. anyways The all look nice.. just bring them a step further

yeah, i think increasing the contrast and making the shadows a bit deeper ought to help

as an interesting experiment, try drawing a bunch of faces using different techniques, eg. one smoothly shaded, one with rough hatching or crosshatching in areas, etc.

the drawings are good, don't be too hard on yourself when u crit ur own stuff
