Been away from painting for a while, and suddenly it didn't feel like any fun to pick up the wacom pen (everyday life being a major influence on inspiration).

Well, finally I did and it _was_ fun! And with hardly any painting-buddies, those selected friends I show my pictures to (and they know I'm just practicing with some unknown goal in mind) usually just say "nice" -- no matter what I throw at them!

So... even if these are not much of a progress for me, I still want to bother your minds since a comment here can be such a kick!

Photo-references used, and the two first aren't very close in likeness, but it doesn't bother me since I feel the mood is there (a while ago it would have bothered me.... a step forward?).

Next time I think I'll do an original composition based on some references.

Yes I would definatly say that that is a step forward. Trying too hard to get a likeness can really kill your freedom of expression. I have learned it's more important to be loose and excepting of mistakes in order to get the most out of a study work. Just be loose, let everything else fall into place and the likenesses will come.

Good work.
