I really like the style and mood to that piece. The bottom-right portion isnt very visually pleasing to me, but I suppose it is to you . What medium is this? Digital? |

Mb: I'm glad you like it. You're right though, the texture at the bottom right could be a bit better. I should fix it up when I get the chance.
As for medium, It's a combination of digital and traditional. The ink linework and the watercolour textures were created by hand, with it all combined and edited in Photoshop. It ended up being a fairly fast process, and I like the end result.
kahboom: Actually, I used reference for the entire picture. The illustration is based on a portrait I shot of one of my friends some months ago. I was looking for an interesting pic to try the technique on, found the old photo on my hard drive and decided to recreate it as a test. |

Great work RD, I like it. Good composition, solid blacks are working, textures looking good. Looks like u thought them out and not just wacked 'em on any old how (like some textured stufff I've seen lately).. Wondering if that brow is too big?
