Hello friends, here is good ol' Saruman, sketched with reference of course, in color pencil. There's an interesting story about this sketch and all those scribbles, but you probably want to be spared of all that lol.

Critiques, comments, questions all welcome! I love this forum!

(oh, one more thing, this drawing is not fully completed, but you could probably already tell)

Well, I worked my arse off getting this one done to meet Chris Lee at a signing, but he did not show. So I just had PJ, Fran Walsh, and Philippa Boyens(writers) sign it.
They also along with Sean signed my LOTR hardback, which Sir Ian had signed earlier. They were cool!
PJ revealed a bunch about the TTT trailer, DVD, what happened to Narsil etc, if anyone wants to hear, let me know.

Looks just like like Christopher Lee, small crit though: his left cheek (lower part) could use some darker shading. I'm very interested in hearing what Peter had to say about TTT trailer |

Here ya go:
The discussion was very entertaining for me as I got to hear all these 'rumors' that have been floating around either be confirmed or denied straight from the man himself.
TTT Trailer: Goes up mid-March. 3 1/2 minutes long. Comes on after "Sam and Frodo fades to black..." Yes, I know March is far away, and I don't know why PJ is taking so long. Don't complain to me! Complain to PJ! Make sure you locate a theatre playing LOTR in March!
DVD: PJ just finished his commentary track. Contains 30 minutes of footage. More Aragorn. More Merry and Pippin. More love/hate between Elves and Dwarves. Can't wait.
Two Towers progress: Having WETA hard at work on Gollum. Still editing tirelessly.
Fondness of Microphones: Both hate them. The elaborate PA system set up was abandoned in a matter of minutes. PJ sez: "I like to shout"
Hope this info was interesting! I for one don't have to wonder when the TTT teaser will be out etc..
and BG: I agree with ya. I'm still working on it, and much more shading will be added!

yoda, this is so cool. I'm really glad you're doing it, because I want to, but I lack the skill you have (you got mad skillz boy!) and I can't find the time to do it. but I got a cool idea for ya. I would combine all of the sketches you've done and you're going to do (whenever you're done) and make them into a nice little montage and sell prints or posters of it. (ya know, maybe 16" by 10") that would be rad, and I would definately buy one. I can't wait to see the rest.
