I think I need a rag to remove the enormous puddle of drool quickly forming on my keyboard. |

Nice work, but I think it needs more contrast or brighter highlights. And I think the sky is too bright. Also the background behind Akiman's left hand is still in a flat color.
But anyway, I suck at colors so don't mind me. |

Holy wow! I love it, I do agree with the latter post though. I think there needs to be more contrast between the characters to make one or more stand out from each other. Awesome! |

I think that most Battlechasers art tends to have too much contrast as in...too many different highlights on each of the "areas". Like a fold of cloth would have an extreme highlight and extreme shadow/dark area, and it happens that a person has hundreds of these happening all over the body. For me, it's really detailed artwork, but it just doesn't seem to have any global lighting. (this is just personal opinion on BC in general)
Well for this particular pic, I think you should put a shadow over the big guy on the left. The tree looks like it's over him, and judging from the moon, it's back lighting from above, so the tree's branches should cast a shadow. I agree with the sky, it's too bright.
I know this is a night time pic, but it doesn't feel like it's night. Perhaps giving some areas global lighting, some shadows along the ground, and more contrast on shadows and not highlights would do the trick.

Taking a second look and reading Kuren's comment it made me realize something. The fact that the pic is not inked is the why it looks like it needs contrast. The pencil shadings are blending too much with the colors and not making the effect they suppose to. So indeed darkening those areas will help. Anyway, I think Kuren's suggestions are right on the money. |

Dammit, I'm still waiting for that issue! Don't give the plot away, man!
Your colouring style is great. I prefer that to the shiny hi-lited plastic-like skin-tones seen in the comic. |

Interesting feedback. A lot more useful than other message boards
For darkening the sky, should the moon be darkened, as well? Hmmm..adding a shadow to the big guy's a nice suggestion as well. When i get the time, I'm going to try to make some changes, just to see how it would turn out. Anymore? |

Looks good. Here's my crits tho:
It's a bit flat and grey, where is the lightsource? I don't understand the lighting situation. I have a feel that this scene would have a pale blue and quite dark shadow on the front of the charas and a rim of moonlight on the edge. The colors would be more ambient and uniform that way.
The problem with marvel type art (as I see it) is that the lineart does too much work, resulting in quite flat colors and wierd 'lightsourcing'. |

Yeah, I know the lightsourcing isn't realistic.I used basic "from above" lightsourcing and just used the moon for the rim lighting. If it was realistically light it would probably be in shades of blue (or at least a lot more blue) with the shadows in front of the characters; everything would be darker, too. |

Nice image, I like the mid tones. If you wanted to go more realistic you'd do more blue and darker, more shadows, etc. But you know that :] And for one I feel refreshed to see a comic page thats not full of overblown highlights and general shininess |
