Long time lurker, first time poster.

Silly Back-Story
I was recently cleaning up a friends hard-drive and noticed that he had over half his drive dedicated to porn. He told me that he didn’t care about anything on his system and just needed a fresh install. I did a search for word docs and email because he isn’t the most computer savvy person in this world and I was sure that he was going to end up complaining that something or other wasn’t there. What caught my eye was a load of 1k-3k images along side obvious porn names (aka 18titsuck212.jpg, etc ). Not only was this fool on a 8GB drive with a broadband connection, but he had chosen to save the thumbnails of porn. So, I removed all the thumbnails and transferred his precious porn, which he ended up thanking me for saving from dev/null hell.

It gots me to thinking, how few pixels are needed to still be “porn”? So I started experimenting with thumbnails that my mom could tell were porn. Then I started applying filters and such to see if I could obscure the suggestive content into a more abstracted form. I have a partial series of images that are still in progress, but I would like the ol’ c&c if you are interested. I know this isn’t the usual run of images you see on this forum, but I still would like to hear what you think.

cool man.. thanks for sharing.. way more unique than lots of the stuff on this board these days... I once saw an interresting collection of porn related images.. the person had tons of pics were he/she took out the people having sex leaving a blank bed, or poolside. Its the fact that it was a collection that made it so awesome. I did a few myself that day after seeing these pics. Its pretty fun. btw.. I have no idea were these pics are.. it was 2 year ago.

These are interesting. How many filters on average would you say you've applied?

I wish I had better documentation on my process. It was a very intuitive. I would take an image, play around with it, until it reached the desired effect. I will document my process when I finish this set of images.

Ps. I know one of you pixel pushers are a member of metafilter. Thanks for the props. I have gotten over 3k unique visits since last night. Maybe it is cause it has the word “porn”, but I would like to think there is something more.
