That's nice.
When my aunt and grandma went to Turkey, all they brought back were pics of themselves and camels...*shudder* |

When I went to Turkey I didn't go.
It's so sad to have a brand new Lonely Planet Guide to Turkey on my shelf.
The pic looks sharp and spiffy. |

I'd be pretty interested in learning more about turkish culture...
Why do you host the image to remotely? |

I've been to a town named "Kusadasi" (which means "bird's nest" in turkish) which has been built into a green bay surrounded by mountains. I arrived there coincidently on the same day the biggest civil cruiser of the world was docking there (there are a lot of ferry boats docking at the harbor of Kusadasi) - a damn huge ship coming from Panama named Sea Princess or something like that. I think I got photos of that sucker, but not right here in my dorm. Maybe I can post some at the end of next week. Well, so I was walking around in Kusadasi when I noticed a sign reading "Internet Caf". Being the computerized mofo I am I decided to send some mails and visit some bulletin boards. Inside there was a huge air-conditioned room at the top of the building where you could look at the whole bay while sitting on your comp and some guys were playing a beta version of Counter-Strike. So I asked the guy working there how much he'd take per hour. He asked me in return if I was member of the staff of the Princess (that bigass ship I mentioned before). So I was going like "Oh yeah that's right I'm a gayass sailor cumfuck that's why I'm wearing that t-shirt reading 'Please rape my ass it's OK I'm a fucking sailor' you know. Do you want me to shove some broken glass up your sorry ass?". No I wasn't. Actually I just wanted to know why he'd ask and he told me that Internet Caf was for employees of the Princess only. I asked him where he was coming from and he answered Panama and I replied no I don't wanna know where that fucking ship's coming from I'm talking about your home town and he answered Atlanta and I said "I just realized I don't fucking care anyway k thanks bye" *) and I went away searching for another Internet Caf and I found one where I was posting and sending e-mails for like two hours and that's the end of my tiny story.
@Coaster: Need more feedback on the subject I took a photo of? Well, I took that photo in a small village ~100 kilometer away from Izmir (can't remember the name), the sculpture is supposed to portray a "Medusa". Hmm, dunno much about ancient history. Check out some search engines for more infos.
*) No I didn't. |

I'd like to go to Turkey.
It's where civilisation started. There is more interesting stuff there than the mind can grasp.
But after my vacation last year where I got lost in a romanian forest and had some pretty frightening moments I think I'll just stay close to home for a while. |
