Heya guys,
I did a quick portrait thingie of Cher for the dead-head-thread, and had a lot of fun. So, I decided to hop on the band-wagon and do an LOTR related piece. So here you have him, the great Elijah Wood! :P
(*people stand up and walk out of the room*)
2 hours+ in Photoshop.
Edit: took Enayla's suggestions and updated.
Thanks!

Gosh he's so cute. *resists the drool urge*
I'd crop it a bit if I were you, though. I really like your rendering, but the almost flesh-coloured space left on either side of the image takes away a little. |

Holy smokes, two replies from two of the artists I respect most in the digital world! Thanks very much guys, I'm humbled.
Enayla, you're quite right. I will definitely crop it properly and fiddle with the background colour. Thanks for the suggestion!
Edit: here is a REALLY streamlined progress exhibit..

wow, that really kicks grass. i almost like the 'splotty' blue background in your progress pic better than the gradient. i love those unfinished-finished looks.
great great work. |

Wow, guys. Seriously.. thanks so much. I really appreciate your comments and suggestions.
Roundeye: thanks VERY much for saying that. You're probably my single most favorite digital artist (right up there with Craig, etc..). That meant a lot coming from you - thanks! |

Cool work... very well done...
I see what you're doing by blending the blue background into his hair, but I think it pulls him back into the picture, whereas he should be popping out at'cha... That's just a minor crit, though. It's very well done... |
