I'm pretty sure most of the people here haven't seen the stuff I've made for the Assembly'00 and '01 parties (the biggest annual 'demo party' out there). Some of the stuff was for the official use, some for a competition held within the 'party'.

Asm99, raytrace:

Asm00, official poster + gfx and rtc:

(the last half-true 3-D piece I've done)

Asm01, official poster + gfx

I know that especially the last pic has numerous anatomy errors .. it was done in great haste so it's understandable (did 90% of the stuff within 3 days while working normally at the office .. or so).

Myself I like most that bearded dude and the fairy and that Assembly'01 poster pic (scared dude in a cockpit).

C&C?

Edit: forgot one IMG-tag

I'm surprised this was half-way down the page with no replies. Awesome work. My main complaint would be the way you handle lips. The top lip is a little too prominent in these pictures. Other than that, I love your composition and lighting. The fairy, the shuttle, and the gun are all incredible.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Tinusch: I'd say I don't handle lips, or atleast didn't use to (supposedly getting better at it but still am far from mastering the subject). And I also feel I have a good grasp on the technical side, but just have to get the shapes together.

Dr.Bang: Thanks. I don't love them too much, and I don't think they're all that professional. But then again my job isn't to draw that much (other than making textures)but to design realistic 3-D environments.

Tepox: Yup, anatomy is a know issue ... trying to get there but it'll take a year or two. And I guess making textures that fit with each other and look realistic has teached me things about saturation (or the lack of it), so I don't that much tend to overdo it - of course all of the pics have too much saturation for them to be believable in the real world, but they're supposed to be fiction, hence I feel extra color is justified.

Heh... I remember the second pic well. I was in the party then. I like that girlie. anyway. Genereally you seem to can handle everything very well but anatomy. hmm... And I like the way how you handle color saturation.

These are some impressive pieces! Some of them are more successful than others, but I especially like the pilot in the shot-up spaceship. Nice work!

Some general nit-picking: some of your figures are a little stiff looking. Have you tried some gesture drawings to help loosen up? With your eye for color and drama, tightening up the forms might take your work to the next level.
