Well, this is Duran. My profile got screwed up changing my email and password at the same time. doh. but, heres a bunch of new paintings I did in the downtime.


done for the digitalartvalley.com monthly contest. I took first, being the only USA represenative that month, lol. I love small contests


done for a really sweet and pretty girl in my fine arts class


done for my last girlfriend


done for my sis who bought me oaklies for xmas. she rocks. very little photo reference

for those of you that don't remember or know me, I'm Chris Beckman from Iowa, a 16 year old sophmore who loves art. any suggestions, critics, or even maybe praise welcome.

Very good, much better than what I could do when I was 16. Can't say too much, except maybe a hint to working from reference. Start with big shapes and place them carefully on the painting. Check that they are right before continuing. Place every stroke deliberately. No scribbling.
It works wonders. Really gave my painting the kick that it needed.
I like the rose the most of these. All the luck of the world with Amber !! There's a pretty girl in my life drawing class as well, and I'm beginning to like her
