...with me.
i have to be the slowest CG painter in the history of mankind.
this piece took me 17(!) hours to finish... well, not actual time but close to. i only took short breaks for coffee and stuff... smart as i am i started working on it last night and came up with the brilliant idea to finish it in one sitting... sleep is for losers...
anyways, here's my latest:

Wow, yeah 17 hours may seem a lot but it's really a nice end result. Very interesting style. His left shoulder (to our right) seems a bit flat though.
Anyways. Really good work. |

Bah. I really don't get this Sijun mentality of "Golly gee, it only took me 3.5 seconds to make this picture! Am I hard core or what?"
I understand timing a speed painting, but otherwise I care more about the actual quality of the work then the number of nano-seconds it took. And I can tell you, this is quality. Sweet. What beautil and unconventional use of lines. |

Maybe you could take your line use a little further and treat the image like facets, or planes of color.
a facet portrait of myself
Only keep using those jagged lines and the separation bewteen them. The face looks great, but the shoulders feel lacking in comparison. |
