Some of you guys may have seen this in the WIP, and it has come a long way from it's humble begginings. with help from many people I was able to come up with this, no doubt most of you will pic this to shreads, but I'm accually quite pleased with it, the soldier could have been dramatised a bit more and maybe the face still needs to be reworked, tell me what you think, I promise I won't cry!

alright the backround looks really good but the guy deffinitly needs work, he's not horrible but he doesn't fit in with teh backround because of his cartoony face and lack of detail. sorry if i sound negative, I'm only trying to help, its a great idea but you just need to work on the guy.

I like the lighting you went with. I was thinking you'd work away the outlines tho. The face lacks expression, make him look like he's desperately searching for something...

Hide someone's car keys when they're late for some appointment and take reference photos of them trying to find them :P

The foreshortening on the left (soldier's POV) arm isn't working too well...it just looks like it's a very short arm. The light is too uniform to suggest a sharp bend of the arm at the elbow.

Maybe some reflected light would give his body a more defined volume.

A little detail: The edge of the wall and window on the left should get more liight.

I don't want to seem like I'm "tearing it to bits". It's a nice picture, I like how it developed from the original sketch but I do see some things that I think could be improved.

thanx dudes, and much thanks to Novacaptain, There is a few lighting problems that I knew were there, but I kinda tried to pretend they were alright. That's a good idea with the keys, and now that I look at the arm i can see what you mean, I'll probably give this a break and start on something new, In a few weeks I wont have a computer untill next year, so I want to get as much done in that time as I can!

Davey Newfoundland, yeah the length of the thompson was bothering me also, damn you for noticing!

BTW you dont have to appologise for critisizing, I wont break your legs or somthing YET!
