I am a tattoo artist, and seeing other professional artists post their stuff they've done at work inspired me to post this. It isn't a digital piece, but oh well. It is a healed tattoo (about 6 months old in the photo)on someone's neck.

I think there were some tats here before, or maybe that was on the polycount pimpin' and previews board... anyways, nice design, interesting how the (smoke/drool/magic?!?) from the mouth mix with the hair. I would never have a tat that colorful, but for what it is it seems very interesting. |

goatlord: where in MN do you live/work. I have been contemplating a tattoo for a while. If you have any recommendations it sure would be a help.
Oh and the tat looks great.

Nice tattoo, love the colors. Just a question, have you ever messed up a tattoo like acidentally traced out side the lines? if so what would you do heh.

I had the same question as molecule man..
what DO you do if you make a mistake ?
i mean ... everybody makes mistake.. even Nasa and all of the world's governments..
... personally, i dont like the colors or the design ... its a bit too common where i come from (singapore).
Still, you do a fine job. I've great respect for tatoo artists...
If you paint on canvas ... its not so stressful... make a mistake, layer it to wipe out the mistake...
If you paint on a computer, theres always the 'undo' button.
But doing something permanent on someone else's skin ... thats a whole different arena.
kudos to you man.
and its a great idea posting a tatoo in a digital art forum ... we needed variety anyway i think.
At the end of the day, were all just artists who use different mediums, thats all. |

xpz- I am 1/2 owner of Uptown Tattoo in Minneapolis. Everyone that works there is good.
Sometimes you might mess up a very little bit, but you learn ways of rolling with the punches. It is a VERY exacting art to say the least. Once you are done it walks out the door, and how it is taken care of is up to the customer. |
