That is just, beautiful.
*weep*. i love this kind of paintings.

On to the crits.
I agree with the previous comment on the red curtain, about it being not too clear.
And i would also like to add that i think the folds on it is slightly off.
Just the part where the curtain .. mmm... how do you say this....
"gets choked" ?
you know the part i mean.
usually they would have golden tassles 'choking' that area.
maybe golden tassles would be fitting ? Currently, it looks like it just sucked itself in.

And that dirty yellow tinge on the lower right of the painting, the on just below the books.
i dont get that part. it doesnt seem to 'belong'.

Overall, i love the work, its simeply beautiful.
specially like the sky. Gives the impression of a bright, not-too-sunny day... strong winds and such ... the gulls are a nice touch too. gives the whole outlook more motion i think.

and the way the boat hangs over the edge of the desk..
the boat brings the seaside, and the indoor part of your painting more than you think.
Its way more subtle than the curtain.

Thank you Duncan and Andromeda...

Yeah..The Dam Curtain! I still have to find a way to do some good folding fabric there.

I am also thinking of cropping the img, what you think?

and such a picture dont deserve being cropped.
It should be blown up.

nice colors, and great job on the water. Only crits I have are the wash on the shore looks too substantial, and I don't think there is enough foam. Also in the bottom right corner it looks too empty too me, at least a shadow of the desk/table or whatever would fix that easily.

Peace .

wow, man, i absolutely love that... the subject, composition, execution... it's all just too cool...
the cropped version looks like it might work better compositionally, though...

Andromeda- I will try the Tasless, need to find some photos of it.

LoTekk-Thank you very much, glad you like that.

Lomi- Thank you. I guess I could smooth up some of the wash.

Mr. T- I really didnt think Specially of Escher when I made this, But now that you mention it, I went look up on his book and I saw the image you're talking about. Who knows, maybe unconciousness!!!
