Hey Dr. Bang,
Picture's too dark, but really nice, of course, needs fine tuning, but what doesn't.
Nice smoke! |

Love the way you handled the lighting. My only crit would be the amount of detail disapears drastically from where the robotic bird is to where the exhaust is hitting the ground. Maybe a few detailed sparks of material spattering outwards from the blast site would balance the detail levels out. Then again maybe there isn't a damn thing wrong with the pic and nothing needs to be done. |

Hey, this is nice Dr Bang. My only crit is the lighting around the exhaust doesn't quite make sense. I'd make the values on the planes of the wing facing the exhaust a lot brighter to indicate their close proximity to the light source.
Not perfect, but something along those lines. The way you've got it, some of the values on the clouds below the ship have nearly as high a brightness as those flat planes right next to the light source. Given the dramatic fall off of the rest of the image, it seems to make more sense.
Say, you've got a number of pieces now... gonna put up a site?

Thanks so much for the C&C everyone!!!
Superbug: Thanks, i guess i my monitor is too bright then Next time i'll try to illuminate my pic more. Sorry for not contacting you through ICQ much, I'm always either behind a firewall at school or at home painting like crazy.
Gimbal: I'm surpised to hear that there isnt much thing wrong with the pic hehehe. I agree with the fire thingie, the thing you stated are something importat that i shouldnt forget. What a lazy me.
Pat: You know that I am your biggest idol eh Pat? You replied to my post = me getting laid by two chix
About my site, I have one up but its not about art. Plus, i don't feel that my art skill is good enough to make up a site (I still suck at doing human potrait and figure)
Take care all.

Looking good there, Doctor
If you go check out craig's site and look at his bandai mech picture, I'm sure you'll get some ideas for making it even more dramatic! |
