Yah, first imagepost here in what? a year?
Just want some comments and critique about this piece.. Some people say its too dark, I dunno it looks ok on my monitor..
Sorry for the big download, but I wanted all the colors and shit to follow.. JPG format is vile.
edit: Oh yeah, might provide some info for the picture, it was made in Painter6, except for some color correction in Photoshop..took a few hours, and endless repeats of the Icewind dale soundtrack. And its very much inspired by all of Jason Manley's work, and tenkei(dood at another forum) got me started todo some of my own..

NICE rendering... my only critique is compositional wise you should have thought about it a bit more.. WHy did yoiu put in the hands and decided to cut half of them? What is that point to show only half? waste of time in my opinion. Maybe you have have added the whole hands in there??? Anyways jsut a thought.. GOOD work i really like this... show us some more...

nice pic but he seems cropped... there's a lot of empty space over his head and his arms are cut off.

oh, and the pink stuff behind him... is it just decoration or something else?

Personally i think the darks should be darker and the lights should be highlighted more to give the image some more depth,.

even without these changes, the image is very well done,.

mrT: Thanks, uhm yes pink stuff, its supposed to be a cloud it kinda looks like its hanging on him I know, blah =)
cropped..well I dunno. I just started painting, and it got tight. heh. Ah well..maybe some more planning next time.
B: Yeah, as of now, I have altered it quite a bit with the contrast n whatnot, because somehow I think my monitor is .. blah, and so it gets too dark on everyone elses monitor, so I cranked it up a bit. thanks!

Thanks for zee comments...

Tyron: Thanks. I dont really use any layers in Painter, because they are..odd. The tools I use are usually, first a custom made captured bristle, the airbrush, the chalk tool, watercolors, and Add Water.
Heh Tech Noir, yeah maybe we will.. Karin was here in stockholm, but we didnt have the time to meet.. so maybe we'll all meet on some TN heh...
wigin: The reason why I only painted half the hands..were because, I didnt have anymore canvas space, and I was too lazy to make it bigger and blabla =) But thanks!
