Very cool, looks unfinished to me though... as far as it being a doodle though, I wouldn't classify anything over an hour as being one, and this was most obviously not done under an hour.

Keep at it, if this is your first you could definately be one of the best if you keep at it .

No real crits.

Just wanted to say that your pic caught my eye as being different and interesting. That's a good thing.

thanx people...... I intend to work on it more...but as for doing more to the scene, it is just the splash for my website after Cos gave me constructive crit regarding style that I took a liking to.
The fact that it is different and you can appreciate that, in a way makes me smile.

looking good
The breasts and crotch area look very nice, but some other areas, like the legs for example, could use some more contrast.

your use of vagina disturbs me. aside from that, however, I think your technical skill is excellent, and your style edgy and effective. a good drawing from an objective point of view, but not to my taste. though the colour choice is fantastic

I will work the the leg contrast more...the cheekbones...and wings..heh I didn't really consider this a doodle , mainly just trying out different things to see how a wacom pulls through with cutting edge precision and to get used to the feel of using it.
I'm impressed wacom peoples ;o
keep the crits comming so I can improve this puppy.
thanx again

Are you implying that you did all your other work with a mouse? I really doubt that.

And I wouldn't call that a doodle.

actually i am not implying i did all my other work with a mouse.....I did ....but i will take that as a compliment....
it took forever though....and i would get frustrated as hell..

yeah this isnt quite a doodle...but i was trying the tool out and wasnt really going for anything in particular...just getting the feel for it.

The waist looks under detailed and a little flat. It looks more like they're being shadowed by the arms vs. being shaded from being round. Arms look too cartoony in comparison to the rest of the image. Thighs appear to be perfectly perpendicular to the viewer, though the feet give the impression of them being angled. Makes it look like the legs are bent in the wrong way. Great wings. Cleaning up the blue bones of the wings more and added further highlights too them would be nice. Face is great, though the chin looks big, possibly due to neck shading. Lacks highlights as well. Could use some darking on the back of the shoulders on the tech bits to help rap them around more and give better depth. The inside and bottom edges of the breasts appear to be too bright, causing them to look flatter than they shoud be. Reflections of feet could use some work. Refections of crotch area does not appear to be a relfection past first glance (not even sure it's supposed to be), but adds to the intrigue of the image besides.

General lack of light source direction(s) disconcerning. (Peices appear to be lit from above, behind, below, between(!), etc.)

Would love to see a more interesting halo. A mild glow on part of it might be all it needs. On a slight separate line of thought, the halo somehow looks wrong as is (not the style, more like it's lopsided. Might be my funky monitor though).

That should be enough to cause you to beat your head on a wall for a while. lol!

I think my brain is in critic mode.

very nice. Love the design and the graphic composition.

But the fact you did a a mirrorcopy on half the picture is a major letdown. Bad, bad, bad! It ruins the lightsourcing completly and makes the image very hard to read!

Causing pain is what I'm here for.

Now if I could just get these kinds of crits on my posts, all would be good.
