Thanks mate.
As you may guess, I'm not too great with the whole programing thing. |

the perspective needs some work but the mood is really great! also what are those things on his right (our left) arm? I don't recognize those from any pred pics I've seen. |

Hi, I really like this piece of art. It has a nice atmosphere.
My crits would be that you could make the water look more "waterish" by putting on some strong highlights. Especially where he stands in the water and those ripples are.
@Vesuvius: You dont know the predator movies? That are wrist blades! He drew them a bit longer than they are in the original design I think but they look fine as they are done I think.
Damn do I like Predator. I got myself the 2 movies on dvd some days ago. Predator 2 is one of my favorite movies. I watched it 3 times since I bought it I just love the concept of the Predator and the movie is done so well, especially Danny Glover did a real good job on that role I think.
edit: @Swany: *lol* means laughing out loud, and with caps on its even louder

Cooooool
A very dark and moody painting. The back-lighting you've chosen works really well. I'm playing AVP2 at the moment so I'm pretty into this piece.
I think the Predator's helmet should be smaller or his body should be bigger, because his proportions in this pic make him look like he doesn't have a very large frame. Predators are meant to be seven foot tall, bulking humanoids but he doesn't seem that tall from here. His legs should be longer, too, as they're almost the same length as his arms. |

It looks like he's walking in Mercury.
Quick things I've noticed . . .
Those trees on the right hand side are far too specular as well.
Also, if the air was as hazy as you make it out to be, I don't think you would see star reflections in the water.
I love the predator, nice to see some fan art.

Hey, thanks everyone for the comments.
Just to patch up a couple of things-
*The Predator is my own design (predator 2 showed that every Predator was unique)This explains the spikes on his shoulder.
*I considered adding mist but I couldn't be arsed.
*There are no stars reflecting in the water...that...was meant...to be floating bits and bobs catching the moonlight. ehem.
*I studied the alien before drawing him. The head is actually bigger in the movie.

Oh! And I apologise to Muzman for any inconvenience. I'll know to watch the file size more carefully in future.
