Wow! i don't think you should colour it. It looks really amazing as is. The only thing I see is that there is something funky goingon with her left thumb....looks bent in a weird way.

Otherwise, very nice feel to the picture!

yeah. I think that thumb is a bit twisted. It should show more of it's "top".

Great job you've done =)

There is nothing wrong with the thumb. I just looked at my hand and my thumb bends EXACTLY like that without any effort.

Wow, people here are pretty damn picky when it comes to a flawless anatomically correct figure.

People should remember that not everyones body is the same...some people have what they call a hitchhiker thumb and some dont...some people have earlobes that connects to thier neck..some have them that hang a little and go back up...some people have arms that slightly bend backward at the elbo yet others cant even bend thier arms completley straight.

Anyway, great drawing!!! I really dig it!

I like it all, I can see what you were going for with the thumb, but it looks "wrong".

I don't like how the bottom of her right (our left) breast looks pasted on.

I see alot of skill here.

vebjorn, i really like your going for gothic styled girls (because i am a gothic myself)

you fit the theme quite wonderful. the girl always has a bit of clichee flavour but not too much. just nice. i really like it.
as i said earlier... this girl just lacks of reality

I always enjoy seeing you post.

I see you use the term goth babe now and then, but none of the pics you posted are really goth? Maybe there's a misunderstanding of the term goth? Scantily clad with weapon/armour/Xena warrior princess stuff is not goth.

When I think of goth, I think of these:

It's that sense of mystery, melancholy, and exotic visuals, I think.

Well, I think there are some misconceptions about goth.

1)Marilyn Manson and all the freaky show clowns are not goth. It's glam, not goth.

2)The "I have a dozen piercings in my face, and I wear trashy fetish clothing and cake on half-an-inch of white foundation on my face, while I paint my eyes and lips black, and have bright red/purple/pink streaks in my hair" kind of goth is the kind I think is quite UGLY. That is NOT what makes goth alluring.

The true goth, IMHO, is mysterious, romantic, melancholic, beautiful, and dark.

Man, that's the most unimportant thing if he calls that girl goth or not, don't you think? It's all in the eye of the beholder anyway.

I think that this is a great piece. And it looks so very different than vebjorns usual paintings. So much more detailed. So realistic. I love it. Be it goth or anything else.

Please post more b&w sketches.

S4Sb- My comments about goth girls has nothing to do with how I feel about his work. I like vebjorn's stuff. I only mentioned it because I've seen him use that term a couple of times, and everytime I open the thread, my first reaction was always, "Nice work. Where's the goth chick?" I only wanted to let him know that I've been confused by it a couple of times.

Well, the last one, with color, is kinda goth....black hair makeup, and fairly pale face. Not your noraml blond chick with sword...

This sketch, without color, looks nothing like goth, and I agree. I just used the same name, since it`s similar to the previous one.
Btw. I`m not coloring this, I can easily be lead down the path to the dark side again(ie. Boris style..lol) Nope, stick to my own ways, btw..addedyet another Goth.

This definetly looks impressive. However, if you my own personal opinions on this then here goes.

Her rib cage looks too small.

Her lips look pasted on (I think this is too harsh really.. I might say generic).

The thumb appears to be right but you might want to emphasive the ball socket. (btw I prefer this thumb alignment as it re-inforces the curve of her hand).

The cast shadow of her hand, needed?

Might want to show a little more bones overall (might not).

Overall excellent work and one I'll study.

I'm working my way backwards into the "forum".
I've seen the other "versions" of this woman,
and I like this one the best.
But,she still needs to have the other shoulder
showing to look "balanced".Otherwise, she's
terrific!
Just my 2 cents.
