Yes, sometimes. I think it's a partial vacuum that forms between the two surfaces of a joint, releasing that sounds like popping, it can relax and increase mobility. That's what chiropractors do I guess. |

I used to have major back and neck problems. The Doc advised me to sleep on a very hard bed, or even better on the floor. Ever since that the pain has gone. |

yeah that works wonders for my girlfriends back too... when we sleep in my bed she can barely get up the day afterwards caus it's too soft... she's actually hopped down on the floor once or twice just caus she can't handle it... so yap, hard surfaces definately help your back.... support and stuff... |

Only when I twist it. My ankle cracks when I'm going down stairs in the early morning just after I get up.
My parents sleeps on an extremely hard bed. It gives mom more pains. |

I do this weird kung-fu type move that creeps people out:
I take my arms and swing to one direction, while swinging one leg in the opposite direction. It cracks my spine loudly. I then swing my arms the other direction and do the opposite leg.
Whenever my back is sore or tenses up, I do it to relieve the stress. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't know the proper movement--you could seriously injure yourself. |

I dont know that I have back problems... but it does crack... and does get sore once in a while.. but thats from a lack of excercise.. when I start rolerblading and working out, I feel tons better. |

oh yeah. a loud *Cronk* sound when I slightly twist my torso sometimes. Creeps my coworkers out !
*CRONK*
"What was that ?" -"Um.. my spine.." "EWWWW ! *startled eyes* Did it hurt ?" -"Not the slightest."
My shoulders also make really interesting poping sounds from time to time.. Friend on the phone asked me what was that noise. "Shoulder" -"EEK!"
Eeh eeh eeh |

For some reason, I can dislocate my shoulders, both thumbs and both index fingers. It creeps most of my family out when I do that. My shoulders pop sometimes. Very wierd sensation. |

at the sametime Rat!? - that would look cool
i get lower back pains sometimes, and do quite a few different back excerises to help it, for me the most effective way is simply slow variations between convex/concave motions every morning and night for a few minutes. |

It's not that hard *shrugs while dislocating shoulder seeing if it'll pop*. |
