Too many images of girls with silicone boobs have been retouched, for my taste. I'm not saying you didn't do a good job at it, I just don't think it's "painted" enough, so to speak.
But ofcourse I can't tell exactly what is photomanipulated and what is not . It just seems to be a lot...

There's some great stuff in there, but I have to agree with Sukhoi; too many girls with silicone breasts. That openning image in particular is beautiful, but you're eye is quickly drawn to those tits in the top middle area. Not only because of the tits, but because it's the brightest area, and most obviously photographic.

The giger style of blatent female anatomy, often open for the world to see (you know what I'm talking about) isn't really my cup of tea. But that said, there are some wonderfully creative things done on this page. The ones with mostly unaltered nude females being the low end of that spectrum. If the creativity and artistry you put in to some of your other works was put in to your nudes, I think some great stuff could come about. Images like Slave, rebirth the the opening graphic show how cool your stuff can be, while porcelain, and others like it, feel lacking in comparison.

Keep up the good show though, and don't forget to tip the mopper.

Ah, nicely put. Cyber had the finesse and skill regarding critique that I lack.
No offence as such, Soulfuct

Just wanted to note, I never said it was photomanip, just photographic in nature.

(Unaltered nude females was in reference to actual human anatomy being unchanged, with smooth skin, etc.)

hey soulfuct dude, nice site man. Well made, slick and looks proffesional. The content is nice, but alot of your work is looking like a mishmash of styles, the frontpage crucified figure is way too reminiscent of garofolas frontpage imo. Maybe you should do a redesign, (you wouldn't want to come across as a wannabe or cheap version of garofola).

The illustration section doesn't seem to have illustrations in it?? all seems to filter/effects work, maybe push this stuff to the photmanip section and use the illustration space for sketchbook drawings for starters, as your'e not really showing a clear drawing style here.

I think you have good design and texture skills but if you actually want to be more of an artist, start taking the harder route. Do life drawing, studies, stop relying so much on effects/filters/photomanipping in your work. (unless you're happy with it and that's all you want to be). Your stuff will really progress much much more. Just my opinion anyway, hope it's not too harsh but it's what I honsetly think. Merry xmas

lol...the only filter I use is sharpen

I see what youre saying about garofalo..and the painting for the splash.....I was actually doing a redesign.
As for photomanipulation well there is only one on my site and its not even up yet....

so where you get that gents I don't know.
maby ill make a turorial with my steps to show you that its done with brushes and I don't use filters at all

anyways...I don't take offence Cos...i paint just like you with a brush except i don't make it sketchy....I go for the smooth texture and precise look and feel to the painting.

All I'm getting is a black screen and the words "Coming Soon", when I click on the link.
I'll check back to see if it's up later.

I took it down for redesign after Cos gave me crit on the splash screen.I understand what he is saying by that and there was a large influence with that painting from Steven Garofalo.
so i guess i will spend a few weeks redesigning ..sorry mach...you were under my links and still will be
:P

I don't know dude. Look at Justin Sweet. His splash page looks like ass, but it's still an awesome webpage because of the content. Craig Mullins uses that sidebar frame thing that I hate so much, and his background image is confusing. But the webpage still rocks, and I love going to it.

See where I'm going with this?

yes i see where youre going man.... but its something I wanted to do anyways..plus it will be fun and you can watch the progress on my site.and i will update it as i go along.
I dunno...something interesting to do and share i guess...because the way I work is not very common BUT nobody can say it is not a style of painting because it runs off all the fundimental rules of painting.

so yeah check the progress on my site.thanx

I agree with soulfuct. People have said that I have just painted over images with my work because I use the airbrush and it doesnt look sketchy.

I work very similar to soulfuct when it comes to painting in photoshop. Draw rough and then either blur it and paint over with the airbrush or I paint with the airbrush and smear everything into place with the smudge tool.

example: http://robotrip.com/robsfolder/girl2.jpg

but this is how I started: http://robotrip.com/robsfolder/girltest.jpg

People have said this was photomanip....but if you look at the images over layers in photoshop, the proportions are completely off. It was blocked it with airbrush and then smudged into places.

I wish I got to see soulfuct's site before he took it down to proove that he didnt do a photomanip or trace.

Put up your site again, or put up more samples...I could careless how you did your work anyway...I would like to see more

Sung to the tune of The Beverly Hillbillies!!!

I could tell a little story bout a man named Pierre,
He posted his stuff without much a care,
then that night when he was returnin' from his work,
he looked on the board and saw us acting like jerks...

Assholes that is.

Well the first thing you know old Pierre asked why
We all replied and told him, "heh, nice try."
"But we've been around and we all sure know
when you pass of a painting that's just a photo."

Paintovers... filters. Kiss our ass.

Well right about then someone poked up his head,
Spooge made a post and this is what he said,
"Hey I know this guy, and I don't care how you feel.
But he paints like a picture, and his stuff is for real."

Photorealism. Richard Estes. 1970s.

Well shit, we were had, Spooge was right.
We all apologized when we finally saw the light.
And to this day ol' Pierre still posts his stuff,
and the moral is to never call a nonexistant bluff.

THE PHOTOREALISTIC PAINTER!!!
