Well, here is my second posting...this time it's a study of a hand (my hand) I'm not very good at perspective and I find hands extremely difficult to draw. Let me know what you all think. I think I could have made the detail a lot crisper...

hey, not shabby.
i like the shading, and the dark background you used to show the contrast.
the fingers look nice, but the thumb and the base of the thumb don't. the thumb looks very flat. give it some depth by shading, and remember that the thumb is sort of a cone, so just draw it like a cone, and then put in the details.
i think the big problem with it is just the lack of shading, and the base of the thumb looks off too. just fix those small things up and i think it'd look great! |
