Argh, still two damn long days till I can see the movie.. I joke with my friends how they're gonna make the Balrog.. if he is a huge devil or a tiny annoying imp
The picture:

I get to see it after school today...whoo hoo for me! So the balrog is that fat thing in the previews right? They should've made it more like the orks...more angles, instead of flab. Doesn't make it too freaky. But that's all off the subject..like the drawing...heh |

Saw it last night at 12:01. It is really worth seeing. And in 4 hours I get to go see it again!
The orcs are butt ugly, but heck they aren't suppose to be cute huh? And I'm with Ko on that he is done really cool.

Thanks all for the kind comments!
Osmodius: (In the trailer) The only thing you see of Balrog is his big burning leg.

grrr and I won't get to see it until the 28th... argh!!
I always figured the balrog to look the way he does in the animated movie... in fact I always figured everyone of the characters to look the way they do in that movie since I was like 4 when I saw it and it was the first thing I heard about the ring...
So a balrog with a jolly big flaming mane, big hoofs, hairy legs, a flaming sword and a whip! Tis mine =)
Oh yeah, and wings. |

Finally seen the movie, it's definitely the best movie I've ever seen and the best movie I'll be seeing in the next couple of years!! (sequels doesn't count =))
Peter Jackson was very good 10 years ago when he directed Braindead (Dead/Alive in England), but now he's incredible.. Weta Workshop did excellent work with the sets, items, miniatures etc. and Weta Digital doesn't come far behind. The cave troll was very well done and the face was the best part of it.
The Balrog was impressive but I would've done it differently.. The scene where the corridor was lit by the flames and the archer scene after it were awesome, but when "the thing" itself was finally shown, I would've hoped much more dynamic camera angles.. the character design was fantastic though.
The battle between the elves and orcs in the beginning and Gollum, sweet, veryy sweet!
I'll go watch it again tomorrow! |

/me doesnt like khazad-dum..its depicted as an incredible wide hall of huge stonepillars, huh ? yeah, right...and there's the time thingy, i personnaly had the impression that the whole voyage took about say, 2 weeks or something, when it in fact would've taken around 3/4 of a year...
well, whatever, waiting for part II...
Nice pic, made me laugh ;) i dig the lil' imp, and yes, u've come quite close to the original..
