Hey!
These were done for a SMS game.
The 6th character from the right and the last one were done by Chester and the 8th, 9th and nr.12 from right are Joachims. The rest were done by me. The deadline was pretty tight so i chosed to solve it in a easy way, making it simple.
Comments crits are welcome..

Both. I always sketch on paper first. I cleaned up the shapes and lines and coloured it in PS. |

hey micks, really cool stuff man. Interesting style to see all these type of fantasy characters depicted, really clean and tidy. Chesters are great too, would of been nice to see more from him.
One thing I noticed was with the built guys (apart from the centaur), the anatomy seems a bit weird. The conan on the left is the best example. There seems to be a weird muscle growing out of his shoulder, lat very low, and some other areas seem strange. I had a quick go at changing it. It's not perfect but think the anatomy looks more right now..
Think this is the first built guy I've seen you draw tho, I think you did a great job man, all of you ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Lukias - haha
I still really like it, better than most of these lame frazetta wannabes stuff heh. But the muscle anatomy is kinda important to me

Your character concept skills are top notch, micke (and Joachim)! These sketches are so easy to read, making the roles and personalities of these characters immediately obvious.
My favourite's the thief, the third character from the left. I just love those raven-feather-like shoulder-coverings!
I agree with Cos's crit on the Barbarian's shoulder, as that bulge near the bicep doesn't look like it belongs there.
I think it's a little unusual for the bowman (fourth from the left) to be holding his bow by the string, though. I'd feel more secure holding it by the grip on the wood. |

Hi Micke, great work as usual. You guys are churning out some really pro stuff. Congrats.
I love these, as someone said they may have simple shading, but it is so descriptive.
The naked Amazon warrior, I geuss you could call her... The hips and legs look a bit to big. There's nothing wrong with having big hips, but they sorta look strange, as if she is a completely different person from the upper body. It's like she has a huge gap between her crotch (not trying to be crude, sorry), kind of like her hips bones are too far apart.
I'm probably wrong though, I don't know enough about anatomy.
All thses characters are so cool, the floating wizard, thief, amazon warrior, dark knight... the list. Inspiration work! |

Hey there, great stuff... it's funny you should post these tonight as earlier today I was in a bookstore looking through a bunch of stuff and came across the Starwars illustrations that you posted a few weeks ago... (the alien book, for the rpg) but I couldn't remember who had done them, having not been here very long. Anyway, glad to be able to put a name to the art ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Thanks for the replies!
Jezebel: Glad you like!
Cos: Thanks for the correction! I'll keep it in mind for next time Chester's page is in progress, so you'll see more from him in the future
Lukiaz: Some of them are pretty bad.
The Knight and thne legs of the Amazon could have been better if i had more time.
Vebjrn: Thanks, Veb! Yeah i saw the stuff that you sendt. Nice work
AliazMoze: He he....Could have been. I see some similarities.
Dixter: Thanks Don't forget Chester. He helped out and gave us alot of good advices too.
Souulfuct:Thanks
Quasar:Thank you.
Highfive: I'm not a fantasy/Rpg kind of guy, so i'm happy that you think so.
The Bowman....My mistake. I screwed up.
Madmouth: Thanks! All of these are drawn individually, but i gathered them in the same picture when i posted it here.
Ian Jones: Amazon, yeah i see your point. Very Valid, Thanks!
Grimsheep: That's cool. Since you mention it I've done a new cover for the Starwars gamer magazine. It will be out in January i think.. I'll post it when it's released.
Cheers,
Mikael |
