I am 15 and have been drawing for just over a year now and have been progressively improving. I have actually been lurking about this board for a while...looking at all the top quality work, which has actually intimidated me from posting here but here goes! I was really just experimenting with this picture. I did use reference for this picture, but I can't scan in the picture because its in a book and I dont have a flat bed scanner. C&C are much appreciated!

The only thing I can think of is that the eyes have an odd shape and perspective.
If you look at yourself in the mirror I think you will know what I mean.

| I'm really digging the design of this one, looks great! Her left eye does look a tad odd though. Good job on the hands. |

Well, the face is odd, but everything else is really nice...
Maybe you should draw a simple shaded face (see what i mean?) |

Thanks, very much for the C&C, I definately see what you mean about the eyes, I can't believe I didn't notice that before!
Kanex- I think it could be the jaw line that also messes up the face...
