Mild nudity below:
There's also a 1000 pixel high version here:

I started this a couple weeks back as something to distract me from the bleak Utah winter. Its based on a sketch I did back in highschool for a game some friends and I were developing. She belongs to a band of nature worshipers who exist in the same universe as the Tree Devil.
Just something done for kicks, but I'm pretty happy with certain aspects of it. It was painted on two layers in Photo-Paint 8 with a 12" ArtII tablet. Comments are appreciated. |

Hey balistic,
Looks pretty good. Only crit though is the lighting. I imagine with the way you've portrayed the hieght, depth and darkness of the jungle behind her that the amount of shadow cast by the jungle on the beach would be greater. In fact, I would think the whole beach should be cast in shadow. If she was front lit it might make more sense.
Hope that makes sense. |

The left breast looks a little off to the side and the stance a little stiff....but maybe thats just the lighting...the concept is great and the overall painting is beautiful. |

He might be right about th lighting...after I thought about it maybe a few shadows cast across the beach might be a littl more convincing according to where it looks like you have you sun positioned... about the breast..I think it's fine because if you look close her spear is pushed up against it. |
